All of our support volunteers identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ family, and are here to serve the entire society, by providing free & confidential peer-support, information, and local resources through national hotlines and online programs.

Rainbow Community Center builds community, equity, & well-being among Lesbian, Gay, Attracted to both genders, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, asexual or agender, and two-spirit (LGBTQIA2S+) people & our allies.
Since , we have been offering support & social opportunities to the LGBTQIA2S+ collective & its allies.
Older Adult Programs
Provides a safe space for LGBTQIA+ older adults to gather, socialize, & create a supportive community. Our seniors are more likely than their straight & cisgender peers to be isolated. We aim to increase encourage, help address internalized homophobia & shame, & ensure access to a supportive network of peers.

Through a variety of engaging events and classes provided by Tidewater Arts Outreach, members can stay active, find new passions, and erect lasting friendships in a fun and supportive atmosphere. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with others while embracing personal progress and shared experiences.
