Meet the man bringing regular LGBT+ events to Tunbridge Wells

Moving from a huge city to the rural charm of a Kent town usually means adjusting to a slower pace of life. But it can prove to be difficult to adapt for those from the LGBT+ community due to a lack of events and representation.

When Dan Rogers returned to Tunbridge Wells in after living in Birmingham, he could not locate a single LGBT+ organization on Facebook. But with the help of another resident, he set up one himself in a bid to build a safe space for the community.

Since , they contain held numerous events including picnics in the park, drinks, and dinners out. Now, the year-old wants to take this initiative to further heights by organising a club blackout on Saturday (February 17) and hold monthly events for those in Tunbridge Wells and nearby towns.
